This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11:30 AMβ10 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Chifa Peru at (570) 955-5006; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 278 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded restaurants in Scranton.
Scranton is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Scranton is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The food was horrible, Iβm a person that doesnβt like complaining and making people feel bad. The Chifa was old, we noticed it was reheated in the microwave and the Ceviche was terrible. As a Peruvian, I donβt recommend if youβre looking to taste an authentic Peruvian food. The guy serving us was very nice, but the food was horrible.

Peruvian food mixed with Chinese food what a great blend of two amazing flavors. You can also get some sangria that's actually well made and tastes pretty incredible. I was shocked at how good it you are better off getting the bigger portioned than the smaller one. If you have a chance definitely get the mixed rice with the noodles. Chicken

While in Scranton I tried out this restaurant. We loved their pineapple chicken and their fried rice! Their lomo saltado was also pretty good as well. The service was nice. We donβt wait for our food that long either. That chicken pineapple is fire!!! I had it twice in one week!

The most amazing food weβve had in a long time. Weβve never had this type of food before, but the fish that I ordered was amazing with delicious sauce and my wife had a poke bowl. Staff are very nice, and the atmosphere is very nice also we also enjoyed the red corn drink which was absolutely amazing. We are here in the locality for a few days and we intend eating here again very very soon.
